In honor of a Great Tree — and all trees! – we’re hosting a special afternoon at Boxerwood on Saturday, April 12th, from 2-4pm. We will be offering some free family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon, including an art-making station by the Great Oak, a DIY “Trees of Stature” scavenger hunt, plus an opportunity to pot-up (and take home) a native tree seedling. At 3 pm we’ll gather to plant a new oak. Bring stories to share and if you like, write some best wishes on the wildflower-embedded paper we’ll supply, for planting in a new flower garden in front of the rootball. Everyone is welcome. Come join us! Garden Steward Karen Stanley will also be on hand to answer questions throughout our time together. Raindate is Sunday, April 13, from 2-4pm.
