In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt. ― Margaret Atwood, Bluebeard's Egg
Spring is a time of growth, not only in the garden, but within ourselves as well. If you've been looking for ways to get outdoors, connect with nature, and meet folks who love putting their hands in the earth as much as you do – look no further. We’ve got three ways you can grow with us this season as a Boxerwood weekend garden volunteer:
Kiosk Ambassador: Greet the season and our visitors with a warm welcome as a Kiosk Ambassador. You’ll be the face of Boxerwood, providing information and a friendly hello to everyone stepping into our garden. It's a wonderful way to help others start their visit on the right note.
Garden Guide: Have a love for storytelling and the outdoors? As a trained Garden Guide, you will be able to lead others on a journey through Boxerwood wonders. This will be a chance for you to share the vision that informs the woodland garden as well as stories and insights about its unique flora and fauna.
KB's Garden Crew: This is a time for hands-on work: planting, pruning, and ensuring the garden stays as enchanting as ever. Perfect for those who find joy in seeing their efforts blossom; no previous gardening experience required. KB served as Boxerwood's first Garden Steward, having inherited the responsibility to look after all these trees directly from the garden's creator, Dr. Munger. You can be a part of the crew just once or volunteer with KB all spring and summer long.
Boxerwood needs your help, but maybe you need us, too. This spring we invite you to step into the garden’s embrace, where volunteering is not just about giving back but also about rooting ourselves ever more deeply in connection and joy.
